This Christmas think about giving an animal to a family in need. World Vision is a website that I ran across that helps families in need. Go to their website and donate now. I thought this was a wonderful idea for the kids to get involved with at Church.
I made a money donation box for the youth to help donate money. I wrapped an old cardboard box with wrapping paper and cut a slit in the top for the kids to put their money. I made a template and printed it out to tape to the front of the box.
This will help the kids to be a part of something special this Christmas. The Bible says that it is more blessed to give than to receive in Acts 20:35.
Help the kids to realize that there are many people in need and God needs us to do our part by helping.
Goats nourish hungry children and families with healthy milk, cheese, and yogurt. Chickens provide fresh eggs that are rich in protein and nutrients, and extra eggs and chicks can be sold to pay for basics.
Give ducks to a hungry family today and they'll benefit from hundreds of large, protein-rich eggs all year long. Extra duck eggs and hatched ducklings can be sold to buy medicine or help send a child to school.
One healthy ewe gives highly nutritious milk for essential protein, vitamins and minerals, plus plenty of warm wool to knit cozy sweaters, socks, and blankets. It's the perfect gift to celebrate the birth of Jesus — the Lamb of God.
